IMAGINE.DESIGN.CREATE

A native of Houston, Texas and a first-generation Nigerian-American, I was born into a life rich with culture! I love to travel and experience the world through different lenses. I’ve always been fascinated by the ingenuity of people and how we interact and work together. It’s no wonder that I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
I love studying human interaction and how that translates at work. I’ve spent the bulk of my career (over a decade) working to increase organizational effectiveness, whether it be through learning interventions, talent management strategy implementation, or change management initiatives. I believe organizations should operate with a growth mindset, because that breeds curiosity, which breeds a desire to learn. An organization that promotes learning is an organization that invites innovation, and an organization that invites innovation is an organization that is forever evolving!

DRIVING PERFORMANCE.

As a talent development professional with a passion for developing people, I am dedicated to my craft. Equipped with the extensive knowledge and experience required to improve employee performance and enhance organizational effectiveness.  I bring value by building and implementing strategic talent development  interventions to strengthen and  impact the business.
01. PROJECT MANAGEMENT.

I have led the initiation and implementation for several significant programs and large projects that were rolled out enterprise wide. Some of these projects include:

  • The full rollout of a competency development strategy and framework used to develop competency models across the enterprise
  • The implementation of learning management systems to help administer, track, and deliver training
  • Curriculum development working with stakeholders and SMEs to develop and rollout learning programs that align with their priorities.
02. CHANGE MANAGEMENT.

As a certified Prosci change management practitioner I understand the importance of a structured change management approach applied before, during, and after project execution to ensure success.  I have developed and implemented change strategies and plans for various enterprise-wide initiatives utilizing The ADKAR model and a three phase approach to change management to prepare, manage, and reinforce the change.

  • I have introduced the adoption of a standard change management approach
  • I assess the size of the project to identify the change impact to the organization to ensure the right path forward
  • I work directly with senior leadership to mitigate change saturation
  • I measure change management effectiveness through assessments and integrated success metrics
  • I measure the effectiveness of various communication vehicles such as focus groups, training, podcast, briefings, and town halls, etc. during change events
  • I integrate change management and communication plans into the full project plan for execution
03. TALENT MANAGEMENT.

As a talent management professional, I have developed and implemented talent strategies and plans for various organizations utilizing a full life cycle approach to talent management.

  • I align the overall talent management strategy to the organization’s goals
  • I develop a plan to measure the progress and overall success of how the organization attracts, develops, and retains employees
  • I use the information obtained from data to create solid talent programs, and rollout meaningful initiatives.
04. LEARNING DEVELOPMENT.

I have managed several learning and development projects, utilizing the full ADDIE Model of Instructional Design. I have worked extensively in all stages of the model. In addition, not only do I design and develop the training content and materials for the different types of training modalities – from instructor led, to online, and blended – but I have created strategy around instructional design, and introduced competency-based learning to ensure the right objectives and competencies are being addressed and measured.

RESULTS DRIVEN DESIGN.

It’s all about results. What is the purpose of training if it doesn’t translate into tangible results for the learner and the business as a whole? Learning must be measurable and transferable. During my career, I introduced training modalities that resulted in cost savings for the organizations . For example;  I worked to cut down travel costs associated with instructor-led training through the introduction of web-based training for an organization.  I also helped to increase virtual training by 60% for a global company.  In addition, through the implementation of a Learning Management System, I was able to reduce redundancies, create a knowledge sharing network, and streamline work process as it relates to training administration for an international client.

DESIGNED WITH THE LEARNER IN MIND.

When developing talent, I always lead with the learner in mind, utilizing adult learning principles and considering the various learning styles. Training should be relevant, engaging, and adaptable to the ever-changing business needs.
