Project Description

Competency models allow companies to clearly articulate and measure desired behaviors required for successful performance aligned to organizational priorities.  Identifying competencies helps employees to better manage their career development and understand what is required of them for their current and potential future roles.  Imbedding competencies into talent management processes such as talent acquisition and learning and development helps highlight areas for growth, establishes learning objectives for training, and aligns behaviors identified for successful performance to the candidate selection process through structured interviewing.

I created a Competency Development Framework that was implemented enterprise-wide.  The framework was meant to standardize competency development for the entire organization. The framework was used to build competency models for every function in the organization which included Human Resources, Engineering, and Marketing and Business Development to name a few.
